Revised AAT Workers’ Compensation Practice Directions
The Administrative Appeals Tribunal has released a revised practice direction and related guide in respect of its workers’ compensation jurisdiction. These govern tribunal practice and procedure under the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 and the Seafarers Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1992. All workers covered by Comcare, not merely Commonwealth officers, are subject to this jurisdiction. The revised direction does not change the substance of the practice hitherto followed. Copies of these documents can be downloaded from the tribunal’s web site: http://www.aat.gov.au/. A copy of the guide is held at the Bar Association office.

The Registry of the Supreme and District Courts is conducting a survey to identify the needs of court users and to assist the Registry in providing appropriate client services. The questions relate to the services provided by the Registry, information provided by the court and the court process. The survey closes on 30 April 2007.
