French Quarter Chambers
Established in late 2016, the Gold Coast’s French Quarter Chambers was born from a conversation between colleagues regarding the often difficult balance between the demands of practice as a barrister and the lifestyle offered on the Gold Coast. Why should they not have the best of both worlds?
French Quarter Chambers is located at Emerald Lakes in a quaint and stunning slice of Europe on the Gold Coast – where dynamic work spaces, good food and parking are in abundance.
Our chambers is home to Philip Looney QC, Rachael Hempling, Gary Coveney, Andrew Fraser, Jane FitzGerald, Simone Fraser, Jacinta Kenny, Peter Mason, Nathan Laing, Luke Tonge and Zoë Brereton.
Our barristers appear in a broad range of practice areas including family, estates and succession, commercial, insurance, personal injury and tax. The chambers also pride themselves in offering alternative dispute resolution practitioners including arbitrators, family dispute resolution practitioners and nationally accredited mediators.
Phil, Gary, Andrew, Simone, Nathan and Jane also have chambers in Brisbane.
The chambers practice manager, Noelene Nel, has contributed in no small way to the success of French Quarter Chambers.
The depth of experience of our barristers means that our clients receive quality advice and representation without having to travel to Brisbane. It also means each of our Brisbane clients receive the same great service from a much more balanced and happy barrister!
The recent pandemic forced a challenge and question on many members of the profession, and perhaps for many, a balancing of priorities. For us at French Quarter it caused us to savour the lifestyle that we have achieved, balancing our professional and personal commitments whilst enjoying the benefits of life on the GC.
