Restaurant Review: Hanuman Cairns

Renowned chef Jimmy Shu has recently brought his innovative brilliance to Cairns with the Cairns version of Hanuman Restaurant. The iconic restaurant, named after the God of courage (one of the most popular gods in the Hindu pantheon) is the latest addition to the Hanuman stable with star instalments in Darwin since 1992 and Alice Springs since 2002.

You can expect innovative, modern and uniquely Thai/India/Nonya cuisine in an elegant setting. The restaurant’s exotic and luxuriant atmosphere is created in the Hilton Cairns Hotel and overlooking the Trinity Inlet.

Expect amazing flavours sthat will tantalise all the senses as only Hanuman can.

If Hanuman is booked out due to the short notice, since we least expect to settle matters atthe door of the court, Cairns literally offers a world of dining experiences, incluiing: Cafe China (Chinese Cuisine); Ces Bon (French); Ochre (Australian); Barnacle Bills (seafood); Donnini’s (Italian); Bannana Leaf (Thai); Marinades (Indian); Salt House (modern al fresco) and Water Bar & Grill (steakhouse with African influence).

All restaurants are in the CBD, within a few blocks of the Courthouse and a mere ten minutes to the Airport.
